I've been a longtime Diva Cup user, but struggled to find a comparable alternative until I discovered Cariona. I was searching for something more affordable yet just as effective, and Cariona exceeded my expectations. I’ve experienced fewer leaks, it's easier to remove, and it's just as comfortable—if not more so. Plus, the value is unbeatable. Diva Cup prices are absurd, and from now on, I'll be sticking with Cariona.

I’m 28 and typically use tampons, but with rising costs and a desire to be more eco-friendly, I decided to give this a try. After using it for half a cycle, here’s what I think:
Pros:
I’m an equestrian and avid runner, and this product worked perfectly with my active lifestyle. No leaks, and I couldn’t even feel it while riding or running.
I didn’t have to change it nearly as often, even on heavy days. It gave me peace of mind knowing I could go longer between emptying it, and it was less of a concern overnight.
Once inserted correctly, it was completely comfortable. I noticed less irritation overall, though there’s a learning curve.
Removal was surprisingly mess-free—it didn’t spill as easily as I expected.
Cons:
I almost thought I lost it one day 🤣! Patience is key while learning how to insert and remove it, but after a few tries, I got the hang of it.
Not really a con, but you do need to be more involved than with a tampon when inserting or removing it.
If you’re squeamish about blood, this might be a bit gross. I could see that being an issue for some people.
There’s definitely a learning curve with placement and removal. It can feel odd if it’s not positioned right, but practice helps!

While awkward at first it worked great. I am a heavy bleeder and regularly bleed through both tampons and pads despite regularly changing. not once did I bleed through despite long use. Also my period was 2 days shorter then usual which apparently can happen when not stunting the flow
